Who is Andrew Little? Can Andrew Little Fundraise

littleangryandy

The Labour Party Leadership election proved to be very cheap for the Union backers of Andrew Little.

They didn’t even give him enough to break the donation limit of $500 before it needed to be declared.

Donations received in Labour’s leadership contest, October/ November 2014:

Andrew Little: total of $5000-$6000. None of more than $500.

David Parker: total of $23,000. Donations of $10,000 and $5000 from Rodger Finlay and Selwyn Pellett.

Grant Robertson: total of $18,000. $5000 from an uncle, $1000 from party member Tim Scott and $1900 in printing costs from PrintShop.

This is consistent with Little’s track record as a piss poor fundraiser.

He didn’t raise a cent as Party President, leaving Phil Goff hanging out to dry in the 2011 election.

He couldn’t even get anyone to put more than $500 into his leadership campaign, not even his union masters.

Politics is not won by money as serial idiots Kim Dotcom and Colin Craig and ACT have proved.

Despite this, when a major party like National or Labour do not have any money, like National in 2002 or Labour in 2011 and 2014 they lose badly.

Andrew Little needs to prove he can raise funds to show he will be a viable contender in 2017.
