Who is Andrew Little? Can Andrew Little Fundraise

The Labour Party Leadership election proved to be very cheap for the Union backers of Andrew Little.

They didn’t even give him enough to break the donation limit of $500 before it needed to be declared.

Donations received in Labour’s leadership contest, October/ November 2014:

Andrew Little: total of $5000-$6000. None of more than $500.

David Parker: total of $23,000. Donations of $10,000 and $5000 from Rodger Finlay and Selwyn Pellett.

Grant Robertson: total of $18,000. $5000 from an uncle, $1000 from party member Tim Scott and $1900 in printing costs from PrintShop.

This is consistent with Little’s track record as a piss poor fundraiser.

He didn’t raise a cent as Party President, leaving Phil Goff hanging out to dry in the 2011 election.

He couldn’t even get anyone to put more than $500 into his leadership campaign, not even his union masters.

Politics is not won by money as serial idiots Kim Dotcom and Colin Craig and ACT have proved.

Despite this, when a major party like National or Labour do not have any money, like National in 2002 or Labour in 2011 and 2014 they lose badly.

Andrew Little needs to prove he can raise funds to show he will be a viable contender in 2017.

AllI can say is in that photo he looks a right DORK

    • rantykiwi

      No, he’s a LEFT dork.

    • Betty Swallocks

Every time I see that photo it makes me think of a slightly unhinged gynaecological surgeon showing one of his patients a particularly bizarre anatomical part that he’s just removed from her nether regions.

      • conwaycaptain

Or as the Indians call them a Yoni Doctor!!!!

        MBS Bombay (Failed)

  • Whafe

Scary Scary, again we are into a few more years of an absolutley pathetic opposition for NZ, where by NZ needs strong opposition…..
Labour should really shut up shop, at the point of no return, nil, nada… Waste of oxygen

    • TSD

Or just learn the lessons they should have from Cunliffe, i.e. if you just shut up your polls don’t drop so quickly.

Now tell me; would you make a donation to Little???

  • caochladh

Well, I can’t see the campaign war chest overflowing with koha from the small business community. I wouldn’t be surprised if the Union subs will go up so they can siphon off enough money to keep him afloat.

    • TSD

I’m sure those small businesses will be so happy when they lose their ability to take a risk and give someone a go under the 90 day rule that they’ll be flooding to Labours side!
You might be right about the union subs, but then again they already spend a vast amount of their servient minion’s money promoting the Labour party within the unions themselves.

“Give a Little” to Andrew Little, has a ring to it – maybe he might receive the small change from someone’s pockets.

  • Adam Michaels

How much money did Little raise when he was Labour Party President?

  • cows4me

He’ll make and offer to the unions with a deal they can’t refuse.

    • jude

dare I say compulsory union membership in certain industries?

  • The2Game

Labour’s inability to raise money on their own is the reason why both of their latest two leadership elections have been fought by candidates traipsing about the country at the taxpayer’s expense…
