Chickens crossing the road: the final answer

Chicken- offal3- 1200

Reported by 3 News yesterday

A truck and trailer travelling down State Highway 2 this afternoon has flipped leaving chicken carcasses strewn across the road.

The incident happened at the southbound turnoff to the Coromandel at 1:38pm, police say.

The Waikato Regional Council is currently working to clear the mess, and police are managing traffic flow.

The question remains:  how does a truck just flip?

Now matter how well they think they’re going to clean that lot up, that area is going to smell for a while.

    Smorgasbord for the blow flies.
Interesting to see how it is cleaned up as it can’t be washed into drainage ditches & waterways.

‘How does a truck like that flip…?’ Good question. Would it be combination of load shifting/ road edge breaking away…?

Don’t see many trailers on the road that size now, not a lot of axels….

Could well have been a far larger load for sure… Thank goodness it wasn’t
