The delusions of John Minto

The next big thing that Hone Harawira and John Minto has got going is Mana News.

And they are straight into bizarre conspiracy theories…and likely a few defamation suits.

Eleanor Catton has managed to reveal the mechanism of the National party media dictatorship this could be extremely dangerous for the survival of our democracy. According to Sean Plunkett you are not permitted to criticise the National government its unpatriotic and against the people of New Zealand.  Too many reporters within journalism have intimate relationships with the national party that are a conflict of interest designed to mislead the New Zealand public. These reporters are holding back real journalists like Andrea Vance. It is unnatural for the press gallery to be uncritical of a seven year old government. The Prime minister office is pouring to many resources into dirty politics and controling the media and little effort to tackle the housing crisis or poverty reduction.

The conspiracy would be more believable if they could spell Sean Plunket’s name properly. I’m surprised that they haven’t substituted every ‘s’ for a ‘$’.

scheme-560x818

The only person missing from that diagram is me…according to the left wing it is me who controls all those people…plus the SIS, the GCSB, the Police oh and a certain Motorcycle gang.

Quite apart from the defamatory nature of Minto’s delusions the whole thing must surely be a joke.

He is joining dots that don’t exist.

I mean it is frankly ludicrous to suggest that Steven Joyce “Monitors and manipulates the media to endorse the National party”…I mean where is the evidence of this? And if he is he is doing a really crap job considering the way the media ran their part of Dirty Politics…which John Minto and Hone Harawira know all about….since they were involved.

The accusation the Sean Plunket is a plant into Radio Live is laughable, as is the claim that Tova O’Brien is a “dear friend” of Judith Collins. The most ridiculous claim is the one against Brooke Sabin.

To think these muppets thought that they were going to ride into parliament on the back of a fat German crook and enter government is farcical in the extreme.

In any case their claims are nonsense…it isn’t Steven Joyce doing all that…it is me.

“Holding back real journalists like Andrea Vance”. I hope she goes them for defamation cause we all know she is not a real journalist.

    • Shane M

I fell off my chair at that point… “real journalists like Andrea Vance”… Oh dear he is delusional!

      • Carl

Surprised he didn’t follow it up by saying Rachael Smalley.

    • Not Clinically Insane

At least it clear who she’s the mole for now

      • Mrs_R

Yep, if Minto & Hone are singing her praises then you know she has absolutely no credibility left. After reading that nonsense all I can assume is that Minto has had too much time on his hands lately to ponder the big questions in life … like why is he a failure and whose fault is it.

  • R&BAvenger

“These reporters are holding back real journalists like Andrea Vance.” Definitely Tui ad material – the tin-foil hat conspiracy theorists will swallow it all hook and sinker.
Middle NZ will just continue to roll their eyes and ignore this claptrap – as they should.
You should put out a health and safety warning for

  • Not Clinically Insane

Thats an appallingly put together graphic. Never mind the delusions it contains!

  • John Q Public

What an appallingly written piece from an alleged “news” site.

    Is English their second language?

  • Murray Smith

He was too late putting that helmet on in 1982. Brain damaged.

    • El Jorge

I voted you down so when I voted you up it meant a lot more!!!
      Love it!

  • Reaper

There are some hilarious (if somewhat difficult to read) articles on that site, especially Joe Trinder’s ones. I have been using them as examples to teach my daughter the importance of punctuation and correct grammar.

  • WhaleBoyNZ

The graphics and grammar are mind-blowingly bad!

“The Prime minister office is pouring to many..” – too peeps!

Did a 5 year old put this together? It confirms my belief that the more intellectual people gravitate to the right. I think where you sit on the political spectrum is a good indicator of IQ.

  • In Vino Veritas

These people are raving lunatics. I am stunned that there are people this stupid still in New Zealand. I honestly thought they’d all gone to Australia!

  • 40something

Oh dear! Looks like a form one social studies project jammed out of the printer at 2am.
Note to Master Minto, Can do better, disjointed, no overall theme, spurious evidence – Resubmit and articulate your thoughts clearly. D+ and C for effort.

    I forgot who’s John minto.

    • Jono

We all wonder who he is.

      • Guest

Now there’s no mistaking, we all know WHAT he is

  • wanarunna

All I see in that diagram is a typical case of left wing join the dots – none of the dots are round and none of them are connected

    • Carl

That’s because they got help with their diagram from John Campbell so of course it is not going to connect up.

Hone Minto and John Harawira wouldn’t be spying on certain enemies, would they?
In that case they are Gang Stalking. The Stasi referred to the tactics as “Zersetzung” (German for “decomposition” or “corrosion” – a reference to the intended psychological, social, and financial effects upon the victim).

“Gang stalking” is a slang term for a set of tactics used in counterintelligence operations involving the covert surveillance and harassment of a targeted individual or government. The goal of such operations is to “subvert” or “neutralize” an individual deemed by the gang to be an enemy.

Counterintelligence operations include covert surveillance (spying on the enemy), sabotage (disruption of the enemy’s activities), and disinformation (efforts to deceive the enemy and – when it serves the objectives of the counterintelligence program – the public).

Minto, Vance, Bradbury and the rest are a gang of haters in public. Ironically they live just like the rest of us in private life. The hating is reserved for the media.

The question must be asked as to who has the most to gain if the government is destabilised, and who is pulling their strings to achieve this result?.

  • Jono

Oh dear. They’re grasping at those straws, sucking through them for all the air they can get, aren’t they?

  • Bart67

As long as they keep deluding themselves that the reason they fail is the VRWC, and not their own cascading incompetence, Minto and his ilk can wear all the tin foil hats they like. It’s their unwillingness and inability to deal with reality, rather than their twisted view of it, that will ensure they will forever be condemned to the political margins. The Greens only managed to get in because they changed the system to MMP!

  • Rodger T

That is a rather spectacularly bedazzled strawman they have constructed there, time to lay off the electric puha .

    real journalists like Andrea Vance

oh dear, excuse me whilst I pick myself up off the floor.

  • Mike

That site is hilarious! Easily mistaken for satire.

  • Isherman

John Minto is apparently a mathematics teacher right?, in which case he would (or should) know that any hypothetical eqaution must be ‘qualified’ or proven. So John, applying the reason and logic of your vocational subject, would you like to qualify or prove any of your frankly ridiculous suggestions please. He really should quit while he’s only as far behind as he is.

    edit: spelling

    • metalnwood

As a Math teacher he probably shows the students the proof of 1 = 2 as well. Doesnt take long to show the fallacy in that proof either.

  • Mav E Rick

Weird that they don’t put Sue Bradford’s daughter into the diagram as well as she is the daughter of a left wing politician. Too follow their logic – she must surely be a plant as well!! Thank goodness Minto and Hone are totally out of the picture now and consequently totally irrelevant. By the by – I wonder what Hone is doing now to feed the thousands of kids living in poverty in Northland. He has plenty of time on his hands now so should be able to offer some tangible support in this regard. He would be better to be doing that than writing rubbish for the Mana News. I guess we will see Hone and his mates all over the TV next week wrecking the Waitangi celebrations. Ho Humm.

    • Wallace Westland

You know the difference between Sue and her daughter?
      Her daughter got a job.

    • Rick H

Rick, none of the kids are hungry at the moment, because it is the holidays,so they don’t have to go to school. It’s only those who go to school that have had nothing to eat . ./sarc

    • wooted

Maybe Hone should stand in the Northland by-election

    • williamabong

Sue is on the outer after putting her principles in front of greed, a traitor to Mintos cause.

  • Alexander K

i met John Minto many years ago, not long after the strife-ridden Springbok tour – he was a strange and pallid wee conspiricist then, and I suspect, from the mad tone of his latest effort, age has not been kind to him. As for Hone who regards everything bad that befalls him as Whiteys’ fault, what’s new?
    What a pair!

    • Jono

I have to hand it to Minto, he does find novel ways to try to be relevant. Sitting outside the PM’s house to yelling and yahooing outside a tennis match because a player was from a country he doesn’t agree with. The problem is that his message hasn’t changed for nearly half a century and frankly, it’s boring and monotonous. He might have had many ears in 1981, but people are wising up to him today and he’s finding himself sidelined. I think Mana News is his latest attempt to revive his career and the outdated protest movement (that only moves backwards). However, the rest of the country has moved on.

      • Wallace Westland

He didn’t have mine in ’81 and he doesn’t have it now.
Even at that age I had him pegged as nothing more than a bone idle anarchist and indigent stirrer looking for any way to be relevant without actually working for a living.
The man (and I use the term lightly) is a despicable joke.

  • Pete

Minto will be busy today, buying his new shoes, back to school on Monday.!

  • IntrinsicValue

The conspiracy theory they have put together is about as plausible as this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GZTIs2rV0U0

    • El Jorge

What the heck did I just watch??!?!?!?

      • KGB

something that makes as much sense as Minto’s theory.

      • IntrinsicValue

Go to you tube and search on “KFC, Illuminati”. My son found them…they’re satirical pokes at the tin foil hat brigade.

    • Left Right Out

      That is awesome

  • SlightlyStrange

Gosh there is some horrific sentence structure and grammar in that segment of post.

  • niggly

I wonder if this nationwide hot weather has severely afftected MInto’s and Harawira’s brains? (Probably not, it’s simply business as usual for these “intellectual giants” of the far-Left I suppose).

The funny thing is, even if their delusions were true, should someone could produce a similar graphic of the way the political left manipulate the left-stream-media – instead of there being only 6 journalist/media personalities (as per their graphic), there would likely be at least 60 leftie journalists/media personalities if not a whole lot more!

So the true but scary conclusion one can reach is that, according to the far-Left, there should be NO right-wing journalist/media personalities. How would Minto/Harawira achieve that if they somehow attained power? Re-education camps? Jail time (a la Cuba and all other far-Left dictatorships)? Firing squads?

  • Chiefsfan73

Cam, the picture has been accidentally cropped, as we all know you are the sinister overlord. The sharks with laser beams are conspicuous by there absence too.

  • Chiefsfan73

The comments on the link are hilarious. The biggest pinko in the MSM, Corin Dann is considered to be missing from here, along with all the other lefties from the herald and the like.

  • Dairy_Flat

Western civilization being assaulted by murdering radical Islamists and does Minto have anything to say about it? That’s a Nah. Dish out this lunacy instead. Just shows where his head is really at – the not-so-funny farm.

  • timemagazine

Being delusional is part of the left’s DNA and it will never change.

  • Bombastic

Thanks for providing Friday afternoon giggles John. Keep up the good work.

    Oh, you were being serious??

  • Gee what a couple of prize idiots. Interesting that most of the comments (at least the disparaging ones) are all Oilers. Wonder how long Mana News will last?? But then I suppose there is the need for conspiracy theorists to have somewhere to wallow. Hurry up FREED – let’s show these clowns up for what they are.

  • Davo42

Man, so sad to see that the knock to his head he took in Hamilton back in 1981 has really effected him in his old age.

    • Wallace Westland

It’s a bit farcical to blame that isn’t it? The man was deluded megalomaniac with delusions of grandeur long before then.
And anyway if the knock had been about a 100kpa harder surely it would have done the country a favour?

      • Chiefsfan73

Down vote Wallace for the second point. You make some great calls, but this one missed the mark. With all the issues swirling around about freedom of speech and expression, this makes right thinkers no better than left.

        • Wallace Westland

          Agreed.

EDIT: Deleted uncalled for comment as pointed out by Chiefsfan

  • Captain Darling

That has to be the worse infographic I’ve ever seen!

  • Captain Darling

I’ve bookmarked the site. I can see many opportunities for lefty baiting ahead.

    • Isherman

Shooting fish in a barrel gets pretty boring pretty quickly though, its nice to have some sort of challenge about it, they make it just too easy.

    • Chiefsfan73

It is interesting reading. They seem to write a lot of letters of complaint accusing the media of bias. The one regarding hone is too funny for words.

  • Nebman

“Holding back real journalists like Andrea Vance”

I’m speechless. There is literally nothing to say. Someone hand John a cloth to wipe the foam from his mouth cos he has now started to rave beyond the norm.

John, if your not on drugs you should be and if you are, your dose is way off.

  • MaryLou

My goodness – are neither of them fully literate?

    That explains it.

  • 1951

It always amazes me how those who live their lives either with very low standards or none at all, always assume that everyone else lives that way too. It doesn’t seem to occur to them that most people live a ‘good’ life, abide by accepted rules and get on to do the best they can in the best way they can. So many on the Left come up short like that.

Popped in for a look and a couple of digs, man that’s a sad and sorry lot of poor deluded lefties, tail down, weeping, moaning, conspiracy theorists punching at brick walls with bare hands in pathetic acts of self flagellation.
It’s so much fun to watch I’m gonna go back :-)

  • Eddie

Quite apart from the content (which will surely help sales of tinfoil), this article has more English errors than National got votes in the last election.

It is disturbing to think that many NZ children were exposed to Minto as students!

  • Rosco

I have a major problem with John Minto’s involvement with this article. My issue is not with what he says – that I do not agree with him is MY issue, but I will defend his right to say it! My issue is his employment. To my knowledge he is still a teacher at an inner city (Auck) intermediate school. This not a place for politics – it is where young impressionable children arrive to be taught – about school subjects but more importantly about life and the moral core that drives our society. To have a teacher that has “extreme” views on anything should be to place a serious question mark on their ability to perform the role that they are employed to do – to publicly utter those views should automatically disqualify them from the role. This does not mean that I suggest that teachers or others in similar roles must be muzzled from having a view. However where you work should and does have an impact on what you can or do publicly – is there no code of conduct that teachers must abide by – such as those in the public service and every corporate that I have worked for. He may well be the greatest teacher since Adam was a cowboy – however his personal life, views and public notoriety must impinge upon his work and therefore the children he teaches.
