ISIS cowards murder another journalist

He gutless cowards of ISIS have murdered another journalists, this time it is Kenji Goto a Japanese journalist.

Islamic State militants say they have killed Japanese hostage Kenji Goto, after the apparent failure of sustained international efforts to secure his release through a prisoner swap.

The hardline Islamist group, an offshoot of al Qaeda which controls large parts of Syria and Iraq, released a video today which purported to show the beheaded body of journalist Goto and threatened further attacks on Japanese targets.

Islamic State has said Goto was held along with a Jordanian pilot. Efforts to win their release had focused on the possible release of an Iraqi would-be suicide bomber jailed in Jordan 10 years ago. The video did not mention the pilot.

They aren’t militants, they are murderous thugs and terrorists.

Japan condemned the militants and said Prime Minister Shinzo Abe’s cabinet would meet in response to the video, which showed a hooded man standing over Goto with a knife to his throat, followed by footage of a head put on the back of a human body.

The release of the video came exactly a week after footage purportedly showing the beheaded body of another Japanese hostage Haruna Yukawa.

“I cannot help feeling strong indignation that an inhuman and despicable act of terrorism like this has been committed again,” Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshihide Suga said, adding the video appeared to show Goto. “We resolutely condemn this.”

A grim-faced Abe told reporters Japan would not give in to terrorism and said his country would work with international partners to bring those responsible for Goto’s apparent killing to justice.

A White House spokeswoman said the United States was working to confirm the authenticity of the latest video and “strongly condemns” the militant group’s actions.

The Islamic State threats to kill their Japanese hostages came after Abe announced $200 million (NZ$275m) in non-military aid for countries contending with Islamic State. His government has rejected any suggestion it acted rashly and stressed the assistance was humanitarian.

Addressing Abe, the militant in the video said: “Because of your reckless decision to take part in an unwinnable war, this knife will not only slaughter Kenji, but will also carry on and cause carnage wherever your people are found. So let the nightmare for Japan begin.”

Is anyone getting it yet?

We are at war…yet the terrorist huggers, one of which is parading herself all over Syria at the moment think these scumbags are just a bit mis-guided.

ISIS is not a state or even recognised by anyone except as a terrorist organisation. They must be destroyed, attrited until they are no longer a threat to anyone.

Dress the detained Iraqi would-be suicide bomber jailed in Jordan in Orange Overalls, and allow a Ninja to practice ‘Televised Katana Moves’ nearby, then send that to the isis ‘militants’

Retaliate with 6 eyes for 2. These mongrels don’t know the first thing about human decency and the tut tut spluttering from the rest of the world needs to stop NOW and take the fight right in to all terrorists faces asap.

When are the nations going to understand we are at war with Islam the crusades
Defended the civilisation of the free over 1000 years ago …even though they did some crazy things…somebody had to fight…the polish smacked the Muslim hordes about 1670
Now they are at it again helped by the PC west ,but is it going to take to wake up the west

The ultimate irony will be when the killer is killed by ISIS. I don’t think it would take anything like an inducement of $M200 for some one to do so.

  • john Doe

This barbaric act is disgusting and is obviously not acceptable to the free world. condolences to the families but kowtowing to these murdering criminals will not bring peace. This is war and it is high time for the western world to join together and take it to these murdering swines.

Agree, that we are at war.
In a total role reversal from WW2, it is now Japanese being beheaded by the blade.
The brutality of the Japanese in the Pacific was not really that long ago.

  • Pete

The only people who understand it’s a war is IS. The majority of the western world thinks of them as a few upstarts running around in the desert. I say bomb the place with some concoction of radio active materials, and sit back and wait for these murdering nut jobs to walk through scanners at airports and ferry terminals across the world, when they set the scanner off, drag them out the back and get the pliers and claw hammers out ! .

Yes I understand a few goat herders will get irradiated as well, but I doubt they will be going for a summer holiday in Northern Europe anytime soon, so we can soon weed those fellas out.

  • tinfoilhatguy

Any day now moderate muslim groups across the world will raise their voices up in condemnation of the evil that IS commits.

    Waiting….
    Waiting….

Along with the “moderate rapists” the “moderate pedos” and the “moderate arsonists”.

      another tui moment.

Be interesting to see the response Japan has to this…I imagine the pressure to get involved in a military way will be ramped up a bit

    • Krauss (Waihi NZ)

What will be the response from the “church?” NOTHING.

      • Adios Africa

There is nothing in their doctrine that equips them to deal with this terror- besides turn the other cheek, forgive them, then sit back to wait for Armageddon.

Just finished reading American Sniper. Once you got through the American ra ra there were some interesting observations from someone who was there on the ground. One that is relevant here was that the militant groups in Iraq only came to the negotiating table when they started getting their members taken out in large numbers. As Chris Kyle said, its easy for the touchy feely lefties (my description but same people) to say violence solves nothing. He said in his experience sometimes a violent response against violence is the only solution.

When I was kid my dad told me that the only language some people understand is a clip around the ear. he was talking about bullies in school. Different context, same universal truth.

    • pak

I feel very conflicted by this view, but it becoming increasingly clear that utter barbarity is normalised behaviour for these scum, and it is getting way past time for the West to assemble its troops and let the nightmare for IS begin.

  • BloodyOrphan

    Bomb them into Oblivion!

    • Bean

Bomb them back to the stone age! Oh thats right they’re already there

      • BloodyOrphan

Then men of the stone age likely had a lot more respect for their women and children than these mongrels.

  • Mike

Absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with Islam of course.

    • mike

Doesn’t matter what religion they are. They are evil people and they need to go.

  • Nordil Borski

The female bomber should be publicly executed to show ISIS just who is in control.

    • Cowgirl

I can’t believe she wasn’t executed years ago – what has Jordan been waiting for?

      • pak

In case you miss my comment above – she sentenced to death in 2006 but that same year Jordan imposed a moratorium on death penalty.
Executions resumed last month so her time may well have run out.

    • Dairy_Flat

Disagree sorry. Lowering to their level isn’t the answer. All out assault on isis by any means and a hard line against would be supporters is required, but resorting to the slaughter of prisoners is wrong.

      • Nordil Borski

But she should of been placed before a firing squad, long before now.

        • johcar

To become a martyr? Not a good solution…

        • pak

Correct. She was sentenced to death in 2006, but that year Jordan imposed a moratorium on death penalty. Executions resumed last month so am wondering if that was one of reasons for IS recent demand for her release.

    • James M

Yeah nah I don’t want to emulate what the enemy do.

Besides lowering us to their level it just won’t send them any conceivable message. Puplic executions drive fear into the western world, but I don’t think it would have the same effect on a people which accept it as a part of daily life.

  • Builder

We need to stop buying fuel from these Islamic nations. Stop trading with them completely.

  • pak

I hope that Kenji Goto and all the others so savagely murdered by IS did not die in vain, and that the mounting toll of those they have brutally slaughtered finally registers with those who are having so much difficulty recognising the threat for what it is.

    • Saggy

I hope that IS will deeply regret dragging Japan into this. The Japanese are a force to be reckoned with and I’m guessing won’t take this lying down.

      • pak

Good point. P.M. Abe is a hawk who wants Japan to get rid of its pacifist constitution. He will not want to risk losing face over this and I think IS may well have underestimated Abe’s fury over the murder of two of his citizens.

  • spanishbride

A pro Islam NZ journalist is currently in Syria. I hope she is safe. I wouldn’t wish what happened to Kenji Goto on my worst enemy.

    • LesleyNZ

I wonder what her motive is – going to Syria.

  • Bryan

well Japan turn every islamist out of japan tell them to pack their bags and go and tell them ISIS is your problem, and If every nation turned anyone that backs them out of their country the Islamics will soon be forced to take up the issue. That’s what Hussein did in Jordan when the Palestine September group got to big for their boots he kicked them out and forced them to Lebanon, just like the old days under the Persians and Assyrians
If you misbehaved you got shifted and by the way US and allies here is another 1000 million now how many cruise missles will that buy.

    • PsychoKea

I think that they aren’t exactly welcoming to Islamists in Japan, very few manage to get in and they are not exactly popular

  • worksux

Will be interesting when Isis captures a Israeli, I don’t think Israel will sit on their bums and not retaliate. It will happen, its only a matter of time.

    • Sweet Lips.

As soon as Israeli get involved the better, and I hope it’s not because of a hostage murder. We love them and hate them but they do get the job done, I m sure they are close too knowing where some of these senior ISIS people are.

  • Sweet Lips.

I believe our country is a free nation, I believe as New Zealanders we will stand up to keep our freedom, I believe the reason we don’t want to lose our freedom is because our forefathers died too give us the freedom we have today, I believe JK will make the right decision and help us and others too keep or have freedom, so why does the Labour leader say no too freedom?

  • Diddle_De_Dee

The time has come to wipe these mongrels off the face of the earth.
A combined nations military force and a nuclear bomb should do it.
Enough is enough but this has gone too far. Action Time.

  • hookerphil

I cannot understand why the media – New Zealand and world wide still seemingly refuse to call out the whole muslim thing.

That’s the point, surely; most of us have learnt you don’t solve problems with violence and killing.
