Today’s Trivia

Welcome to Daily Trivia. There is a game to play here. The photo above relates to one of the items below. The first reader to correctly tell us in the comments what item the photo belongs to, and why, gets bragging rights. Sometimes they are obvious, other times the obvious answer is the decoy. Can you figure it out tonight?

86.8% of Pit Bulls pass a temperament test – better than Collies, Golden Retrievers and Beagles. (source)

During World War II, prisoners of war in Canada were treated so nicely that they didn’t want to leave Canada when they were released. (source)

Listen up Blubbergeddonites, the government of dubai pays it’s citizens 2 grams of gold for every Kg of weight they lose. (source)

Miyamoto believed “donkey” meant “stupid” in English, and assumed the name Donkey Kong would convey the sense “stupid ape” to an American audience. When he suggested this name to Nintendo of America, he was laughed at, but the name stuck. (source)

A loose association between ‘Pit Bulls’ in the first one and the town of Bulls that is featured in the main picture?

    • Correct. I’ll try and make it a little more difficult tomorrow (couldn’t find inspiration today)

    Bulls link to1

  • Nige.

People in the south island (southern pride enjoyed in good hotels throughout {the} south) are so nice that people who visit never want to leave. Link to 2

Interesting how the park isn’t > 1m away from the vehicle entrance way nor > 10m away from the intersection

  • symgardiner

How about bonus points for other linkages???

Just down the road is Ohakea which is a Defence base and the link to Canada and defence is that both are part of the Five Eyes partners for number 2

And opposite to Ohakea is a weigh station which would be suitable for “Blubbergeddonites” to weigh in for number 3

    • Evan

Actually, there is a better link to 5 eyes than Ohakea which is the spy base at Tangimoana 10 minutes further down the same road..
