Obama’s climate hypocrisy exposed

Obama thinks that climate change is the biggest threat to the planet…not Islam or any myriad of other things

And so he is doing his utmost to combat climate change…by flying in Air Force One to attend an Earth Day meeting in Florida.

Today, President Obama boarded Marine One to go to Air Force One to fly to Florida to drive by motorcade to the Everglades where dozens of reporters and others arrived by various mechanical contrivances to listen to President Obama give a speech about fighting global warming. The only thing “green” about that trip was the color of the helicopter he took to get to his jet.

Accordingly, many have pondered whether so much ostentatious travel is the best message to send on Earth Day. In fact, Mark Knoller asked Press Secretary Josh Earnest whether the trip “undermined” the President’s message, to which Earnest convincingly replied, “No.”

Just asking the question was enough to prompt giggles, chuckles, and perhaps a guffaw or two from the assorted media of the White House Press Corps. You can also hear someone say he could have taken a van, a nice shot across Hillary’s bow. She, too,?opted for the high life instead of the high road for Earth Day.

No one does hypocrisy like the left-wing.

Lachlan?Markay over at The Washington Free Beacon determined that President Obama’s Earth Day trip Wednesday to Florida will emit nearly five times as much carbon dioxide as a single average American does all year long — thus exposing the president’s do-as-I-say-not-as-I-do pattern.

Markay?was able to tabulate the numbers thanks to CBS News’ Mark Knoller, who reported that the president’s one-day trip will cover 1,836 miles roundtrip and Air Force One will consume 9,180 gallons of fuel. Here are the findings:

According to data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration, burning that much jet fuel will produce more than 88,000 kilograms of carbon dioxide. That is about five times as much as the 17,600 kg that the average American emits annually, according to United Nations data.

As Markay points out, Obama’s entire reason for visiting the Everglades in Florida is to stump for reducing carbon emissions because of its negative impact on the climate.

President Obama’s message ahead of Earth Day was this:?”There?s no greater threat to our planet than climate change.” This issue, he said, can “no longer be denied, or ignored,” and?the threat is “bigger and longer-lasting than my presidency.”

Just like Al Gore this chump is a massive hypocrite. George W. Bush does more for the environment just by staying at his house in Texas.
