The ineptitude of the left

The left wing have put on one of their own dirty politics hit jobs against the Prime Minister.

The irony of a man with the misogynistic background of Martyn Martin Bradbury now standing up for what is now apparent is a very politically motivated woman is huge.

Her bosses, Hip Group owners Jackie Grant and Scott Brown, told the Herald they were disappointed Ms Bailey – who they say has “strong political points of view” – went public rather than coming to them directly with her concerns. However, they are hoping to “put this all behind us” now.

But put that to one side for now. I want to talk about the political team that wants to govern the country and they can’t even put together a rather simple hit job.

Let’s start with source protection. Martyn Martin Bradbury was at pains to explain how this woman was “vulnerable” and need anonymity…yet when the story broke I said to my team that there were only two possible places that this could have occurred as described and named the most obvious one. I was right, it was Rosies.

The Herald were into it quick smart and this morning have posted a story of the said “vulnerable” woman who looks anything like it, posing for a Herald photographer with her soon to be ex-bosses. A very strange way to act considering the claims of vulnerability and wishes for privacy.

Amanda Bailey surely would have known Rachel Glucina, she goes there all the time, is a regular. Hell bells even I’ve met her several times over the years at Rosies. It was dopey on her part writing about one of only two possible places in auckland that match the description.

When I busted Len Brown’s chops I was criticised for source protection, despite Len Brown’s team throwing her under the bus themselves, and then vested interests in other quarters and the actions of the source herself destroying that. I refused to speak about her and still don’t.

In other matters currently before the courts I risk contempt of court and am currently appealing High Court judgments regarding source protections in the Court of Appeal. That’s how important it is to me.

If people run off to fools like Martyn Martin Bradbury then they can expect the next knock at the door to be mainstream media.

Then there is timing. Who runs a hit on the Prime Minister when he is travelling overseas to a country and an area with poor communications? Only a fool does that.

The PM will simply state ahead of and during ANZAC commemorations that he has apologised and also that he is there for important matters of state. Then when he goes to Dubai the week after he will state that he is there for important trade business and if the media and the opposition want to focus on a rather minor matter when people like Len Brown are still in their jobs then that is a matter for them.

Then there is the long weekend which will have wall to wall coverage of ANZAC day commemorations for the centenary.

Then it is parliament’ recess and there is another two weeks of it.

Finally half of the press gallery is travelling with the PM. They are hardly going to get all pissy with him and then sit for hours on the same plane enjoying all the piss and hospitality now are they?

This would have been a really good hit if run properly with proper timing.

If it was me I would have waited until recess was nearly over, dropped the bomb and then watched the carnage ensue in a parliamentary week when the PM and the gallery are all on deck, without any distractions like holidays and commemorations. I may have waited until the Tuesday and had some questions to ask ministers about White Ribbon and commitments from the government with regard to sexism in the workplace and the like and really set it up nicely.

The story is 6 months old anyway, what was another two weeks of waiting.

But the real kicker is they ran it themselves and now run the risk of it being labelled a partisan hit job. If they were smart they would have laundered the job to someone like me and then there is no way it could have been labelled partisan. Plus I would have made it really hurt.

These guys want to run the country yet they can’t even run a decent hit job on the PM.

It’s as pathetic as Key is weird for his hair fetish. But do the left-wing seriously think John Key is going to resign for pulling a girl’s pony-tail?

While John Key pulls pony-tails, the left’s darling before the election, Kim Dotcom, pulled 18 year old pole dancers, and that including Martyn Bradbury and Laila Harre who both had no problem at all with taking his money or following his orders.

Resign over hair pulling…not going to happen and shows yet again what a bunch of inept tools the left-wing are. They remain unfit to govern.
