The misogyny of the left

Paula Bennett has been attacked on social media and the other day she highlighted one instance when the media jumped all over her.

Fair enough, but this case is so much worse than what John Lehmann ever said.

Meet Phillip Reweti Bear. He’s a protestor, meat worker and thinks that “scabs” should die.

He also has a message for Paula Bennett.

Now I’m no fan of Paula Bennett…I find her vacuous, but calling her a “bitch” and a veiled threat as well… But he goes so much further.

So who is?Phillip Reweti Bear?

Well, it appears he’s a good mate of plenty of Labour MPs.

Megan Woods is even pleased to see him and posts as much on Facebook.

Now correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure Megan Woods was outraged about the Prime Minister saying the opposition were supporting?rapists. I wonder if she is outraged by the comments of Phillip Reweti Bear directed at Paula Bennett that imply rape. She sure looks like she is supporting him with that post. Chris Hipkins also seem rather pleased to be standing beside him too.

Louisa Wall, another of those outraged in parliament, also tagged him in.

I wonder if White Ribbon is pleased by his implied violence against Paula Bennett; they also tagged him in as he marched on White Ribbon Day.

It seems that violence towards women and misogyny are OK when Labour and union supporters do it.

I wonder if Chris Hipkins, Megan Woods, Louisa Wall and other Labour people might like to denounce the actions of their supporter. They felt strongly enough to stand with him and get a photo, and to tag him in on Facebook. Do they feel strongly enough to say, “No”? To say this is not acceptable?

Is this acceptable behaviour from someone who seems proud to wear a Meat Workers Union T-Shirt? What does Darien Fenton think?

Does the Meat Workers Union support his violence towards women? Or is it because it is Paula Bennett that it is ok?

These people are a disgrace. If they remain silent that will be an even bigger disgrace.

I wonder if John Campbell will interview him about his sexist attack on a government minister. He seemed pretty cool with previous protest action.

You are who you hang out with…and it appears that a lot of Labour people, some unionists and a media personality are all cool with the sexual violence of Phillip Reweti Bear.
