I understand it is an evolving story but the Ferald has a news flash that the Greek authorities say the wreckage found is not from an aircraft. This info is mixed up with the original article so it becomes a confusing mess. Just lazy editing in the rush to get it out there I guess. Doesn’t change the fact that it’s gone down into the sea somewhere unfortunately.

yet another offering from “the religion of peace” im betting.

    “before swerving 360 degrees right,”

Does than mean what I think it means? :-)

      Hijacking/attempted hijacking?

      • yoyoyo

maybe……. but why at the end of the flight over water, not over Europe to really go out in a blaze of glory.

        I think a timer more likely…

        • Sailor Sam

But over water is very effective because of the difficulty of finding the plane
Makes for continued uncertainty and fear, which is what terrorists thrive on.

      • DoctorEvo

I was more referring to it being a very odd way to describe “circling clockwise” …generally a “swerve” is a short, sharp change in course, not a full circle.

        • waldopepper

yes but the media delight in butchering the english language for dramatic purpose, or using 4 words where one would do. another one i hear often used is “severe discomfort”, which is a physical impossibility.

Many more of these and Trump is guaranteed the WH.

  • Altogether too many of these over the last few years.

Sounds like a wing/and an engine damaged by a bomb causing a 30 second crash.

  • Aucky

I’m picking that a bomb was placed on board in Tunisia which was the last stopover prior to the flight from Paris to Cairo just as was done in Frankfurt prior to the Lockerbie disaster on Pan Am’s London-New York flight.

The mere fact that planes now carry ‘security personnel’ is a sign of our times. Perhaps to be absolutely certain an aircraft is not carrying an incendiary device, it will itself have to pass through X-ray machines and scanners before taking off. Granny’s knitting needles and tweezers are starting to pale into irrelevance. And about time too.

  • Don O’Brien

If an aircraft experiences sudden decompression, the pilots have to descend as fast as possible. You can’t just push the control column forward. You need a procedure like a steep gliding turn that enables a fast rate of descent without over-speeding the airframe. That might explain the turns combined with altitude loss.

  • Disinfectant

There was a report of a distress transmission from the aircraft 2 minutes before it disappeared.

There are 3 seperate codes that can be entered into the transponder by the pilots which immediately alert air traffic control as to the nature of the distress.

They are radio failure, hijacking and any other emergency.

It would be interesting to know if this report is true or not.

If it *is* terrorism (as seems likely) then wait for the West’s useless “leaders” to trot out the usual lies that “this is not Islam” and “Islam is a “religion” of “peace” “.
