Nigel Farage celebrates as sources call a victory for the Vote Leave campaign screenshot -whaleoil.co.nz

“The EU is failing, the EU is dying. I hope we’ve knocked the first brick out of the wall, I hope this is the first step towards a Europe of sovereign nation states. Trading together, neighbors together, friends together.”

-UK Independence Party leader Nigel Farage

Independence Day in Britain ~
The man who ‘frankly, had the balls’ to demand that the voice of the British people be heard. He has waited 20 years for this moment. Kudos to you, Nigel Farage. Democracy owes a great debt to you, and to your dedicated team. The free world thanks, and salutes, you.

Because he could see the ‘wrong’ in many others, yesterday became a great day for democracy and the common good. I hope he will help keep the calm, in what no doubt be turbulent waters, yet to come. Hats off to David Cameron for allowing the people the chance.

It’s a shame he tarnished the victory speech with the tactless “without a bullet being fired” comment. Pretty tasteless, by any standard.

I really imagine it was a faux pa, rather than deliberate

      • Keeping Stock

I certainly hope so MaryLou. It took some of the gloss of what was a pretty significant day for Farage.

The first giant step back away from the “New World Order”.

What now for Nigel Farage given that he, and his UKIP party, have achieved what he set out to do?

    He deserves to be knighted.
