Hey Labour, Greens… we Voted Positive, how about you start acting like it too?

Whaleoil’s resident philosopher George writes

At what point do the Labour and Green parties stop trashing our country?

They would have the world believe we are a riddled with corruption, homelessness and hopelessness. The streets are littered with mothers and babies thrown out of their homes, endangered species are becoming extinct, our waterways are no more than flowing sewers, unemployment is rapidly increasing, manufacturing is in the doldrums, race relations on the decline, crime out of control, education failing, health suffering, poverty epidemic, and on and on and on.

When I took a drive on this beautiful winters morning it was not the NZ I witnessed. The streets were full of industrial vehicles going about their business. The shops and malls were all crowded with smiling consumers, I couldn’t get a seat at my favorite cafe it was so full. There were no race related problems I witnessed as all varieties of ethnicities were seen shopping and working together. The sports fields were littered with people walking their dogs or exercising. I wasn’t looking for it – it was just there.

We spend a great deal of resource combating abuse of any sort, and rightly so, yet the two socialist parties are exposing New Zealanders to mass psychological abuse. They continue to tell us we are failing in every aspect of our lives. The vast majority are not. Sure not everything is perfect, but to claim that New Zealand is a cot case is a damning endorsement of the very people they hope vote for them. Middle New Zealand are sick and tired of being held responsible for the lie that is peddled as fact by the socialist. Has there ever been so much misery heaped upon a nation of motivated and successful people? You never make friends by continuing to criticise those from who you require support and just as dangerous, you should never become co-dependent to those who consider it an entitlement to have others provide for them. Sadly, Labour and the Greens can’t tell the difference.

George missed out the special hit squads going around throwing people out of hospitals and staking others out in the noon-day sun for that extra dose of melanoma.

But yes, there is the problem:  the majority of voters simply can’t match what they see and experience every day with the Left’s narrative.  And yes, we’re aware not everyone is doing well.  But the Left are just not taking people with them.  In fact, they are rejecting the guilt trip that they and the Media Party are continuously trying to burden us all with.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.
