So why do we fence our properties then?

Running a country is just a bigger version of running a household. In America just like other western democratic countries we protect our property with fences, locks, alarms and even guard dogs. Why do we do this? Because we choose who we invite into our homes and because we want to protect our families and our possessions.

If we were to act at an individual level like Europe ( countries without borders ) and advocate homes without fences and alarms and locks what would our neighbourhood look like? What would happen to our homes?

Without mentioning the presumptive Republican presidential candidate by name…She portrayed his brand of politics as un-American and dangerous, comparing him to world leaders “who stifle the voices and dismiss the potential of their citizens … who demonise and dehumanise entire groups of people because they have nothing else to offer.”

Addressing the class of 2016 at the City College of New York in her 23rd and final commencement speech as first lady, she said: “Graduates, that is not who we are. That is not what this country stands for.”

She went on: “Here in America we don’t let our differences tear us apart. Here in America we don’t give in to our fears, we don’t build walls to keep people out.”

Differences are what countries go to war over. We do not have to tolerate things that we believe are wrong or that hurt or threaten our people, our culture and our way of life. It is not wrong or intolerant to take steps to ensure that people cannot illegally queue jump their way into a country when others have to play by the rules to gain entry.

Illegal Mexican immigrants take jobs away mainly from Mexican Americans and Black Americans. The people that benefit most from illegals are White Americans who happily pay them peanuts. How is it a good thing to allow the job market and American workers to be undercut by illegals? Building a wall to protect American jobs is not racist; it makes economic and social sense and will protect America’s lowest paid workers.
