Herald now so desperate it is breaking the rules

Emails broadcast by an organisation in New Zealand all need to have basic information, such as who sent it, and an easy means of unsubscribing from further material.

The reader who sent this via the Tipline points out that the ‘simply contact us’ part does not include a “no thanks” option.

The Herald is struggling on all fronts. The share price was floated at $1.00 and closed at $0.70 yesterday. And even that is probably still overvalued.

The number of “free” and “trial” subs that are keeping the readership numbers inflated artificially will eventually come home to roost.
