Jacinda, your time is now

Selection_001

The stars seem to be aligning for an all-female power takeover. In the UK they will have a female PM as the remaining two candidates are, well, women.

At the same time, the president of the United States of America is likely to be confirmed to be a woman.

Then, the nominal president of the world at the United Nations could also be a woman.

So, it’s only obvious really: time for Jacinda to make her move.

Reality check – it is not April first is it?
As Private Eye would write “Shurely you are joking”

  • NahYeah

You seem to have forgotten another main contender:

    • Barnacles2

      Dillary Crump?

      • johcar

        Honald Trumpton

  • sandalwood789

Theresa May would be a disaster as PM of the UK. No-one is more of an Islam-appeaser than her – not even Cameron.

    • Wayne Hodge

My apologies, but why is May an Islam appeaser?

      • Mighty1

She says sharia law would be great in Britain and etc etc..

    • SaggyNaggy

Oh she’s horrible. But Leadsom would be equally disastrous for different reasons. Does the Conservative party want a vile appeaser as their PM, or a CV-doctoring, out-of-her-depth lightweight?

  • rantykiwi

The only thing missing from the pic of Helen is the scythe.

    • Christie

      Brilliant!

  • sonovaMin

personally I prefer this pic of Hilary

  • waldopepper

i thought it didnt matter what genitals someone had but rather that they were the best for the job. clearly i am mistaken, and sex does matter, so can we abandon the charade.

  • Huia

Women running their countries? after all it has worked so well in Germany hasn’t it?

    • MaryLou

Did for a long time, she was really pretty good! What happened, I just don’t know… maybe she thought she was invincible and could take the peoples anywhere.

  • one for the road

    Way more qualified than Angry,
    Ie
    Not a union hack
Not a man (that counts given thrust of this post)
Better looking than all the other candidates
Hasn’t dumped any other caucus members father in it
Has been elected as an MP ( as opposed to being a List rep)
    Comes from and represents Auckland

So get to it girl, now is your time (not that it would make any difference to Labours polling or results, but it would be EEO)

    • Rick H

Jacinda has never in her life been “elected”.
She has always been and still is – -List Trougher.

      Just like Andy.

      • one for the road

Yes you are right Rick, my bad on that one..

      • rantykiwi

I fail to understand how she makes it onto the list. In real world terms she has nothing going for her. In Labour “desirability” terms she’s not Maori, disabled or (as far as I am aware) a lesbian. I wouldn’t have thought that just being female was enough. Maybe she has photos of senior party members in compromising positions or something.

  • Bob Dazzler

    Doomed, doomed I say!

  • Sailor Sam

Seeing as little old NZ has always ben at the forefronf of social change, Jacinda’s time has been and gone.
The country now obviously is ready for a gender neutral/trasgender/ LGBT leader.

    • NahYeah

We had one not so many years ago, if you recall.

    • In Vino Veritas

Jacinda’s time has never come, and never will. You cannot photoshop intelligence.

  • Totara

But I didn’t realise that the dark lord of the Sith was a woman.

  • zotaccore

How embarrassing for Ardern, just terrible she must daily feel that she is not an elected MP by virtue of not being an electorate MP. I can’t think of anything more depressing for a possible PM to not have ever been voted in by the people. Power to the people via verdict of the People? How sad.

Trump has to win. It’s the year of rebellion against PC BS.
