Red Claire Trevett on Labour

Rah rah rah!

Red Claire Trevett attempts to spin that Labour have a chance of winning the 2017 election, despite them not cracking the 30% mark and not coming within 15% of National in any poll. She makes the following bold statement:

Elections are fought and won with several critical ingredients: Policies, money, candidates and propaganda.

This is true, but what is also true is that without money there is no chance of developing the policies, recruiting the candidates or producing the propaganda.

Labour are without money. They have had a series of party presidents, the people responsible for fundraising, who have been dead set useless at fundraising. Andrew Little, Moira Coatesworth and Nigel Haworth have failed to build the kind of war chest that is necessary to win an election.

Claire Trevett should be asking Nigel Haworth and Andrew Little if Labour have enough money to fund an election campaign.

She should be asking, where are the $15,000 donations, and where are the $30,000 donations?

What is Labour’s bank balance, and will Labour be able to raise money to compete with NZ First and the Greens, both of whom are doing well with the donors?
