Roy Morgan delivers another rogue poll

National are up 10% to 53.  Labour down 2.5% to 25.5

This is with the backdrop of Labour telling their caucus that their own polling has them in the 33-35% region.

So this is clearly a rogue poll.

The Roy Morgan is always the most variable, and some would say most frequently inaccurate, poll.  Just like National wasn’t on 43% a month ago, it isn’t at 53% now. But, we might as well enjoy the left trying to explain this away.

Our own polling for INCITE:Politics shows us something slightly less extreme for both Labour and National.  But all the same, those “thirties” that the left keep touting to each other and the press are extremely fanciful.  In spite of this poll being all over the place like a mad woman’s poo (with a nod to Cam), it does clearly indicate that even when the Roy Morgan favours Labour, it is still not close to thirtysomething.

This isn’t sustainable for Andrew Little.  And, like UK Labour, pressure is building for change.  There is a natural answer by splitting the party in two: one being the parliamentary Union party, perhaps called Et Tu, and Labour, which re-takes the kind of policies and direction that were so popular and successful under Helen Clark.
