The secret UMR poll that isn’t so secret

The leftie blogs have been wailing that there is a “secret” UMR poll showing fantastic results for Labour, but there is apparently a media conspiracy by not reporting it.

How something secret can be reported on I’ll leave to others.  Of course, it isn’t secret.

The left have been talking about numbers in the 30s, and clearly that isn’t the case.  In fact, no matter which poll you follow, Labour are well and truly stuck in the twenties.

But the point is that the left continue to lie about the numbers.  Mostly to each other, but this time they’ve gone ballistic on the media for “ignoring” the good news.   No, they aren’t running it because they have a copy of this “secret” poll and know that they are being lied to.

If anything, the voters seem to be fatigued with the two main parties exchanging blows about problems that don’t exist in their own world.  As a result, the Greens and NZ First are showing stronger support as they pick up the dissatisfaction.

This won’t necessarily translate to votes in an election.  Responding to polls is how people feel today.  Voting in an election is what people want for the next three years.  This is frequently why the Greens plummet on election day.  Some green policies are nice to have, but they aren’t what you elect a government on.

Labour are essentially zombified.  But at some stage they need to decide if they want to lose the election with Little, or have a crack at winning it with someone else.
