Same shit, different day as media avoid I and M words

Oh look, we have an admission that the priest throat slitter was a “radical extremist”.

Family friend Jonathan Sacarabany says Kermiche grew up in a housing project in Saint-Etienne-du-Rouvray.

That is the town where two assailants claiming allegiance to the Islamic State group slit the throat of a priest and took hostages before being shot to death by police.

The family friend says Kermiche had a sister who is a doctor in the nearby city of Rouen, and a brother. Their mother is a professor.

The family alerted authorities to his radicalism to try to stop him from going to Syria, Sacarabany said.

Kermiche was arrested trying to go to Syria and was put under judicial supervision upon his return, with an electronic bracelet that was deactivated for five hours a day allowing him to leave home without surveillance, according to a police official.

A nun who was in the church during the attack said the 85-year-old priest, the Rev. Jacque Hamel, was forced to the ground before his throat was slit.

“They forced him to his knees. He wanted to defend himself. And that’s when the tragedy happened,” said the nun, identified as Sister Danielle.

“They recorded themselves. They did a sort of sermon around the altar, in Arabic. It’s a horror,” she told BFM television.

Of her fallen colleague, she said: “He was a great priest.”

French President Francois Hollande has called Pope Francis to express his “chagrin”.

Hollande told the pope that “when a priest is attacked, it is all of France that has been hurt,” according to a statement from the president’s office.

So let’s take stock.

There was a priest, specific religion not stated.  You can infer.

There was a radical extremist, extreme in what way not stated.  You can infer.

There is a mention of the extremist wanting to go to Syria.   You are left to infer.

There is a mention of some ‘sermon’ being performed.  In Arabic.  You are left to infer.

No mention of Islam.

No mention of Muslims.

No mention of ISIS.

No mention why he was under government surveillance other than his parents dobbing him into the authorities.

We have pulled this to bits on Whaleoil for a few years now, and some people go, “oh, but he was born there”, or “he wasn’t a refugee”, or “there are no signs of radicalisation, his parents are fine”, and so on.

There is however a common thread to all of it.

And nobody dares speak it’s name.
