Perhaps it’s time John Key stopped hugging a corpse

Helen Clark

John Key seems still enamoured with the soulless corpse otherwise known as Helen Clark.

Prime Minister John Key has met Helen Clark at the United Nations in New York and assured her the government will continue to support her bid to become the next UN secretary-general.

Key’s meeting with the former Labour prime minister took place soon after he arrived in New York on Monday for UN leaders week.

Clark is reported to have again said she has no intention of pulling out of the race, despite doing poorly in a series of polls by the 15 Security Council members.

While he’s in New York Mr Key will present New Zealand’s address to the UN General Assembly and chair a meeting of the Security Council on the Syrian crisis.

New Zealand is one of the 10 non-permanent members of the council and currently holds the presidency.

Give up John…she’s done.

To be fair though, perhaps John Key is hoping she will get the job so she never returns to NZ.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.
