FIANZ and the hate-speech preacher are dissembling and lying like flat fish.
Firstly, Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib has issued a press release accusing me of making stuff up and also attacking Sam Lotu Iiga.
His entire press release is an exercise in taqiyya. He claims his words are out of context…except they are still his own words. They stand alone. There is no need for context. In one he claims the context is he was looking at history, but they are still his own words and his own view of history.
He really can’t resile from his statements.
Meanwhile, Hazim Arafeh, President of the Federation of Islamic Associations of New Zealand went on Radio Live to talk to Ali and Willie.
He started off with his own taqiyya when he was asked about Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib. He claimed that Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib was only the secretary of a minor committee and when pressed about a responsibility for policy he said no.
Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib says on his Facebook page that he is the Secretary of the FIANZ Ulama Board. On FIANZ’s website, the board is listed at the top of all the committees and is described thus:
Ulema (Religious Advisory) Board
- Regular meetings of Ulema
- Issuing of fatwa and opinions
- Resolving religious issues
- Helping to maintain the religious focus of FIANZ
That looks like a very influential committee to me, especially as they are the ones for issuing fatwa and resolving religious issues. So, it appears that Hazim Arafeh is practising taqiyya himself.
The interview itself was unenlightening and clearly dissembling without actually answering any questions. We see the same responses from Abdullah on this blog. No direct answers and no direct explanations, just dissembling.
More telling was this insistence to watch all of the source videos for context. This is ridiculous. We have done that and put up some of the worse quotes that this hate-speech preacher used. Those are his views, he is preaching in the mosque, and he has a doctorate in his religion and is a key member of FIANZ. His word in that mosque would be taken as powerful, unimpeachable and almost as gospel. To say otherwise is further dissembling.
Hazim Arafeh, while insisting we all watch the source videos for context, hasn’t watched them himself, yet he was explaining away all the disgusting views as though he had. Context is not needed. Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib did use ani-Semitic terms, and showed us his misogyny in a sermon in a mosque.
Arafeh also accused Sam Lotu Iiga of making stuff up.
I stand by my posts, Shaykh Dr Mohammad Anwar Sahib’s words speak for themselves.
