Once again, President-elect Donald Trump has disavowed and condemned the racist, white-nationalist factions of the so-called “alt-right” after disavowing KKK Grand Wizard David Duke several times during the campaign.
When pressed about an alt-right conference led by white-nationalist Richard Spencer in Washington, D.C. over the weekend, which the mainstream media was only too giddy to cover, Trump said, “I condemn them. I disavow, and I condemn.”
When asked if his campaign platforms had energized the alt-right, Trump denied it and disavowed again.
“I don’t want to energize the group, and I disavow the group,” Trump said. “It’s not a group I want to energize. And if they are energized I want to look into it and find out why.”
Trump also insisted that Breitbart CEO Steve Bannon had no affiliation with that aspect of the alt-right movement.
“I’ve known Steve Bannon a long time. If I thought he was a racist, or alt-right … I wouldn’t even think about hiring him,” he said.
During the campaign, Trump had been asked repeatedly by the press to denounce KKK Grand Wizard David Duke’s endorsement of his candidacy. Eventually, Donald Trump did call them out for the constant barrage.
“I disavowed him. I disavowed the KKK,” Trump said. “Do you want me to do it again for the 12th time? I disavowed him in the past, I disavow him now.”
I’m sure murderers, wife beaters and paedophiles voted for Hillary as well. Does that mean Hillary is supportive of their actions?
The liberal media are sore losers. But then again, what’s new?
