A part of New Zealand has disappeared. I was just musing that at least a third of the people in Auckland wouldn’t know who Murray Ball was or what all the humour in his cartoons means. It’s probably part of growing old, but I don’t like the fact that we have a New Zealand where a lot of new Kiwis have no idea what a part of our culture this man represents.
But such is life. And in this case, death. Murray was a raging socialist, but that can be forgiven because he was a good bastard.
