The new Greens: It’s life Jim, but not as we know it

The NZ Green Party are only green on the outside.

The Green Party is rebranding. Rebranding a political party almost always means vast time and resources are wasted on something that does not directly contribute to winning a single vote.

The Greens should have stuck with their existing brand and spent their money on research and campaign professionals to enable them to get out the vote in election year. Branding doesnt do this.

Then the obvious looney error from the Greens comes up.

She says it was important to emphasise that the ideals they stand for are unique in an increasingly protectionist era of politics, where fear, nuclear attacks and racism are all too common.

Despite the fact there hasn’t been a nuclear attack since 1945 this is a big issue.

At least they aren’t Morris Dancing.
