Seven ways to impact the Media narrative

There is not a person alive who has not wanted to be able to influence in some way the Media narrative about them. Media have always had the power to influence the public and now that Fake News has become a real problem ways to impact Media coverage will always be the holy grail for people who find themselves in the news.

There are seven ways to impact the media narrative.

Number ONE: Write a book that the Media can use for soundbites or quotes. (Bonus points if you pay a journalist to write it for you.)

Number TWO: Only deal with one journalist. This will get some degree of loyalty (at least until they decide it is time to throw you under the bus when they sense which way the wind is blowing.)

Number THREE: Be a major advertiser of the newspaper. When bad stories about your company come across their desk they may choose to go after lower-hanging fruit rather than risk losing your business or will at least give you more balanced coverage than if you didn’t contribute thousands to their bottom line each year.

Number FOUR: Pay for advertorials that are ads disguised as news. This way you have 100% control of the narrative.

Number FIVE: Be a left-wing or Socialist politician that the Media Party want to get into power. Both Hillary Clinton and Emmanuel Macron had across the board support from the majority of MSM outlets.

Number SIX: Hire a Public Relations company that specialises in Crisis Management. Be careful who you pick however as the Mad Butcher, found out the hard way that some professionals will make the situation worse not better.

Number SEVEN: Instead of influencing the Media narrative attempt to reduce its influence by calling it ” Fake News.” President Trump has been very successful with this method and the obvious bias of the Media Party against him has made the public that voted for him very sympathetic to his criticism.
