They condemn tweets instead of terror

Infuriatingly some people would rather shoot the messenger than face the message. Around the world, there are a number of really brave activists and politicians who would rather tell the truth than be popular. They all need really thick skins to handle the abuse that is hurled their way. Sadly truth has become the new hate speech. If the West wins the culture war against the ideology of Islam and does not become Islamic the history books will record politicians like Pauline Hanson and Donald Trump and activists like Pamela Gellar, Tommy Robinson and Ann Marie Waters (to name only a few) as heroes.

Pauline Hanson criticised after ‘disgusting’ tweets on London attack

Pauline Hanson and Donald Trump have both received angry reactions to tweets posted just hours after attacks in London.
Senator Hanson was criticised on Twitter after posting “Stop Islamic immigration before it is too late. #auspol” within hours of the attacks…

…Senator Hanson’s tweet on Sunday came in quick order after US President Donald Trump tweeted similar sentiments using the attacks to demand courts in his country reinstate his failed travel ban aimed at predominantly Muslim countries.

…Trump says the travel ban, a centrepiece of his 2016 campaign, is needed to protect Americans from terrorist attacks. Critics say his reasoning is flawed and assail the ban as discriminatory.

On Thursday, his legal team asked the high court to allow the March 6 executive order to take effect immediately despite being blocked by lower courts. The Supreme Court rarely grants emergency requests.

What those criticising Trump and Hanson fail to understand is that they are not using tragedy for political advantage. If they were, they would be using the tragedy to try to promote new policies. What they are doing is reiterating policies and viewpoints that they have consistently held all along. If you were elected on a platform of preventing dog attacks, of course, you will comment every time there is a dog attack. The motivation is to protect the voters not to spread hate of dogs!

Both Hanson and Trump are trying to prevent and reduce tragic events like yesterday’s terror attacks in London. Those who criticise them, on the other hand, are only concerned with virtue signalling how politically correct they are. Lighting a candle and sharing hashtags will not protect the next little girl to be stabbed through the heart while walking across London Bridge. The truth may be politically incorrect and may be offensive to some but hugs won’t protect Britains’ children.
