Cry Babies of the Week

What a bunch of bloody snowflakes, moaning about wearing shorts to school.

A mother has pulled her sons from a school after it refused to provide warmer clothing options as part of its winter uniform.

Her sons, who suffer from asthma, complained of being too cold in the regulatory shorts and socks. The school — Emmanuel Christian School in Bishopdale, Christchurch — recently made the shorts compulsory and removed the option of wearing trousers.

“It amazes me how many schools insist that children wear shorts as their chosen winter uniform,” said the mother, who asked to remain anonymous because she still has a daughter at the school.

She said while the teachers were wearing long trousers and jackets, her sons were told off when they wore thermals underneath their shorts.

After trying to convince the school to rethink its uniform change, she moved her boys to another school which with a warmer uniform.

Her sons must be dead set big girl’s blouses. As for remaining anonymous…how many parents with three kids at the school, two boys and one daughter, are there? Don’t be stupid cupcake.

Then there is her asthma excuse…so what. Asthma is respiratory…put on a jersey, shorts aren’t going to help that. You might want to read up on what causes asthma…it isn’t cold legs.

No self respecting boy wants to wear long trousers anyway.

I bet this snowflake believes in climate change, global warming or whatever the scam is called now. Well, if you believe in all that nonsense then you also believe that the planet is warmer now than when we were kids…and we all wore shorts to school. In fact I wore shorts to school right up to the end of secondary school.

Her little snowflake sons seriously need to HTFU.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.
