Déjà vu it’s a Panel show headed by a Kiwi Comedian that discusses politics

Banter is a debate and discussion show that is broadcast LIVE from the TVNZ studios. It is headed by Kiwi comedian Tim Batt. Its first episode was shown a week ago. When I found out about it I thought, Déjà vu because there was another panel show headed by Kiwi comedian Brendhan Lovegrove that discussed politics that was running right up until Cam was no longer available due to his 4-week court case with Colin Craig.

Ironically my favourite skit by Tim Batt is this one about Colin Craig.

Stirring the Pot was very well received so I am not surprised that TVNZ have chosen a similar set up. That is not all the show has in common with Stirring the Pot. A couple of the panellists are the same as well.

The first episode had Hayley Holt who was on Stirring the Pot as well as  David Seymour and “shock Jock” Matt Heath. They have invited Cam on as a panellist next Tuesday. As it will be live you can expect fun and games for no one can deny Cam’s entertainment value nor his impressive knowledge of history. Expect him to stir the pot and to get at least one panellist to agree with him.

If we are really lucky they will also invite the fabulous Olivia Pierson on as she is a natural for television and is perfectly suited to this style of show.
