Jeremy Corbyn OVERTAKES Theresa May as voters’ favourite to be best Prime Minister in new poll

  • A YouGov poll showed 35 per cent of the country preferred Mr Corbyn as PM
  • Mrs May one per cent behind on 34, but her ratings are continuing to drop
  • It’s the first time that a Labour leader has been winning that question since 2007

Just exactly how bad do you have to be to take a commanding lead and turn it into something where Jeremy Corbyn becomes Britain’s preferred prime minister?   Teresa May could teach Andrew Little something.

The PM’s favourability in the poll has plummeted since her decision to call a snap election backfired.

As she announced her decision to go to the country in mid-April she had a rating of 54 per cent in opinion polls, compared with 15 per cent for Mr Corbyn.

Under the latest results Mr Corbyn is ahead in all age categories under 50.

The poll suggests voters’ views on the leaders were now heavily split according to whether they supported or opposed Brexit.

Politicians that go to the polls early almost always get punished for not respecting the voters.   She had her mandate.  And she’s not only stuffed up her parliamentary majority, she’s making the UK think twice about Brexit and is getting the message to step aside and let someone more capable do the job.

She’s a political dead woman walking.
