Listener poll has Labour starting with a one and Nats with a three

The latest Listener has a poll and the headline numbers are a disaster for Labour and bad news for National.

Labour at 19% is a disaster. They have previously thought that their base support was that achieved by David Cunliffe. What is apparent, is that this is much lower.

National’s number isn’t much better and is slightly lower than where I think they will land on election night.

Matthew Hooton has adjusted the figures to include what would happen hypothetically with reallocation of undecided voters.

Mind you 24% isn’t much better.

Life isn’t any better for Andrew Little in the preferred PM stakes either. Jacinda Ardern is beating him there and Winston Peters is breathing down his neck.

Preferred coalition configurations is interesting.

This matches my expectations. Unfortunately the most preferred option is never going to happen as the numbers don’t add up.

That leaves what I have been predicting all along. Perhaps some of you readers might like to start listening to me instead of praying and hoping not unlike Obama supporters have done.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.
