And before anyone points out the “Ian Shearer” clause about the board being able to declare Barclay unfit to be a candidate. That will of course end in court with Todd Barclay producing, or the National party being forced to produce under discovery, their pre-selection reports signed off by the board, including the President who sits on those panels and who was in attendance at the selection meeting. I imagine Peter Keily is earning his substantial fees today ahead of the board meeting tomorrow.
