If you want to keep supporting new taxes then I’m going to keep bashing you

Phelan Pirrie is annoyed that I am calling him out for being Phil Goff’s poster boy for special rates and as a supporter of the bed tax.

He better get used to it.

If he is going to continue to push for increased taxes on citizens of Auckland then he is going to get bruised.

I understand that he is public enemy number one for the Auckland Ratepayers Alliance because Phil Goff is promoting him as a bed tax supporter.

Who would ever have thought that an Act party candidate would be a staunch advocate for increasing taxes on small businesses and ratepayers.

If he thinks promoting new taxes is an impact then I have news for him and it is all bad.

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story. When he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet. Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet and, as a result, he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist who takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him, you can’t ignore him.
