Currently, a battle is raging on social media between Bill English and Andrew Little to see which of them can get the most likes for their red socks. They are not the first Politicians to try to grab attention by wearing eye-catching socks.

Bill English’s smiling America’s Cup photo quickly had 3000 likes. Andrew Little’s red socks, just 418 likes.

If Andrew Little wants to get more likes on Twitter than Bill English the answer is simple. Socks when teamed with the correct footwear send a message about your political soul. Jeremy Corbyn has started a trend and Little can follow it as according to an article in the Guardian socks and sandals reveal a liberal soul.
