Face of the Day

There is a thin line between madman and genius.  And as it turns out, there is also a thin line between cheeky and being a bint.

Bill English’s campaign stop at a Blenheim cafe has been gatecrashed by the local Labour candidate – who approached the National Party leader before he made a swift exit.

Janette Walker, Labour’s Kaikoura candidate, works across the road from the BV Deli and when she saw the police cars accompanying English decided to pop across and have a word.

Labour’s party list is already thin on talent.  When you then add all the cannon fodder that run for Labour in National safe seats, you have to expect these kind of social misfits.  That said, rubbish candidates embarrassing the party have been remarkably thin on the ground this time.   Not that there has been a lot of media space for them.
