Face of the Day

Playboy founder Hugh Hefner has died aged 91.

A statement from Playboy said Mr Hefner died “peacefully” and “from natural causes” at The Playboy Mansion. He was “surrounded by loved ones”.

He represented an institution and a time when men were men and women were accessories.

And remarkably, over the decades of feminism and political correctness, the brand survived with many young women using the Playboy bunny branding on their clothes, accessories and many other items.  New Zealand retailers stocked and sold car seat covers, bed spreads, clothing and perfumes – to name a few.

Definitely an end of an era.  RIP.
