Oh to be a fly on the wall of the meeting between the Greens and Labour today

I can just imagine the naive grin on James Shaws’s face as he confidently enters the room to have a ‘”positive conversation” with Jacinda Ardern. He will open with the statement that his party is prepared to work with Winston Peters but that they are unlikely to support a Labour-NZ First government from the sidelines.

Positive Jacinda will then smile positively and will inform James that he’d best buy himself a nice comfy cushion then because his party is going to be sitting on the benches for another three years unless he does exactly as she tells him to do.
