Complete arrogance from the New Zealand Human rights Commission

Hubbard’s selection and participation in the women’s weightlifting section at the 2018 games is the correct decision and those questioning it were wrong. So long as their testosterone levels are consistent with those of athletes assigned female at birth, trans women do not pose an unfair advantage in sports.

No valid reason? Those questioning it were wrong? What arrogance! This is the end of women’s sport as we know it. Transwomen will beat biological women every time because they are NOT the same physically and never will be. The commission clearly does not care about the human rights of women to participate in sport and physical activity on an even playing field.

If you shot me full of testosterone before a blood test I might make the required hormone levels to be considered a man but I will still be a woman. That is a valid and reasonable objection to transgenderism in sport where biological men are being allowed to compete against and comprehensively beat the best biological women in their chosen sport.

When a tennis player who was a nobody when he played as a man is able to become a top female tennis player it is obvious that there are serious problems with the politically correct notion that artificial hormones not biological makeup ie chromosomes determine a person’s sex. I would say gender but these days it is no longer accepted that there are only two so I refuse to open that can of insanity!

Richards has since expressed ambivalence about her legacy, and came to believe her past as a man provided her with advantages over her competitors, saying “Having lived for the past 30 years, I know if I’d had surgery at the age of 22, and then at 24 went on the tour, no genetic woman in the world would have been able to come close to me. And so I’ve reconsidered my opinion.”
