Would a rose by any other name smell as sweet?

Nothing wastes taxpayer money quite like a name change. The ex-National government only recently wasted taxpayer money on a name change for Child Youth and Family, renaming it the Ministry for Vulnerable children.

Ministry name changes are nothing but bureaucratic exercises in virtue signalling that achieve NOTHING at all.

This is superficial plastic politics where Labour have decided that the word vulnerable is a contentious word but poverddy is not. It is okay to describe Kiwi kids living in poverddy but it is not okay to refer to them as vulnerable!
