If Christian bakers are forced to provide a service then why does Lorde get to discriminate?

Lorde provides a service and she made a commitment to provide that service in Israel. How has what she has done any different to the Christian bakers in America who have been fined $350,000 and lost their business as a result of refusing to provide the service of a bespoke wedding cake for a Lesbian couple?

They were told in court that their beliefs were irrelevant and so was their disapproval of the couple’s marriage. They did not have the right to discriminate against the couple by refusing to do the job that they had been asked to do.

If ordinary business people are forced by law to serve people they disapprove of then why does Lorde get a free pass? She was happy to provide her services to the diverse people who live in Israel until some professional activists put some pressure on her.

This would be like  Christian bakers happily agreeing to bake a gay wedding cake and then withdrawing after the BDS movement protested outside their shop and told them that they shouldn’t bake the cake because the gay couple were Israelis.

Many of the headlines below are praising Lorde’s discrimination. They wouldn’t call the Christian bakers courageous for standing up for their beliefs at a great personal cost yet they call Lorde “courageous” for doing what professional activists told her to do.
