Convince me: Which situations are sexual harassment and which are prostitution

Oprah and Harvey Weinstein

Since the Harvey Weinstein claims and the #MeToo phenomenon there has been a debate on which situations are sexual harassment and which are a type of prostitution.

One actress recently for example said…

“I personally did not suck Harvey’s d*ck, although he showed it to me and I got out of the room before there was any physical contact,” she revealed. “The fact is, I was fired from a job I had been hired for in Miramax. The repercussions of standing up for yourself were as deep and targeted as some of the scars of the women who actually got more physically unfortunately involved.”

Where is the line drawn? At what point does sexual harassment cross the line into prostitution? Some of the women who did not turn Weinstein down may have become famous as a result of either keeping their job or being given a job in a movie. In what situation does harassment cross the line into doing sexual favours for something in return?
