IRONY Alert: PM presents certificates to students before closing their schools

I really don’t know how Emma Purves, Jeremiah Mahanga, Sapphron Jackson-Marshall and Dominic Elliot were able to keep a smile on their faces. How did they feel I wonder accepting certificates and congratulations from a Prime Minister who is closing their highly successful Partnership schools down? They are only Year 9 and 10 students and they are doing extraordinary things while being nurtured and supported in their Partnership school environments.

Hitman Hipkins has been instructed by Jacinda Ardern to close their schools down knowing full well that there is currently no pathway to re-open them.

Maybe my headline should have been: Well done says PM now I am going to close your school.
