Oprah for president – not!

It ain’t never gonna happen, here’s why:

My good friend Harvey.

Oprah and Harvey Weinstein

A little white meat for you, kind sir?

Trump and Oprah are polar opposites, he grew up in privilege, she was raised in poverty with an unstable childhood.

He is an alleged sexual predator; she is a survivor of sexual abuse.

Different backgrounds were no barrier to them both becoming rich,  influential and members of the same mutual admiration society.  Here they are in 1988:

Oprah says “we all have lived, too many years in a culture broken by brutally powerful men,” and “For too long women have not been heard or believed if they dared to speak their truth to the power of those men. But their time is up.”

Oprah has an audience of disgruntled women who will not lift a finger to help their sisters.  They are not enough to run a campaign for all Hollywood’s blustering.

In 2015 Trump ran for the presidency after saying if he saw things “getting out of hand” he would run.  Trump would have loved Oprah as a running mate in 2016, but that didn’t happen.

And it won’t happen in 2020 either.
