Whaleoil is monitoring the government’s election promises: Education

Thanks to a reader (who has done all the hard work for us) Whaleoil has a spreadsheet that we are using and updating in order to accurately monitor all the government’s election promises.

While they are not keeping their promises in a number of policy areas, they are keeping them in Education, with Hitman Hipkins coming in like a wrecking ball on Partnership schools and National Standards.

As you can see?Labour have chosen to prevent a single-sex school for girls with disabilities from closing despite the prohibitative cost per student but are still dead set on closing value for money partnership schools. Compared to State schools Partnership schools are incredibly good value for money both in cost and academic outcomes.
