Whaleoil Spy reports from Wellington Part II

The photo and commentary posted yesterday from one of our Wellington based spies were so popular that another one of our undercover spies contacted us after he had visited Grant Robertson’s office for a closer look.

Our spy had just finished taking photos of the publicly displayed letters when Grant Robertson’s office secretary came out and demanded to know what our spy was doing. Our spy explained that he had been taking some photos. She wanted to know what he had been taking photos of. Our Spy replied, all the letters on the window. She then asked him why he was taking photos of all the letters on the window. He then replied because I am an undercover agent working for Whaleoil– I’m just interested in whats going on. The secretary then stalked off back inside but by that time our spy had it all so was able to make a fast getaway in his inconspicuous Whalemobile.

Our spy reports…

I’ve just taken photos of all the letters posted on Grant’s window – it’s mostly just generic stuff apart from the odd ones which are actually quite heartbreaking to read. Any addresses have been blacked out however there’s a couple where the names of buildings are indicated – there are also several companies names on show with one in particular mentioning a tenancy managers first name it seems – there is another name on show also in another letter.

Grant Roberston is a Minister who is using his Ministerial office to publicly name and shame law abiding landlords, Property Management companies and individuals. To protect their privacy and the privacy of the letter writers I have taken the time to censor the examples published here.

The student writer of this letter needs all the education they can get.

I love how this loyal Labour supporter although aware that their problem was caused by Labour policies nevertheless still blames the Property industry. Three years down the track I wonder if this  “working professional” will still be so forgiving of Labour?

Labour’s voter base are hurting and in the first hundred days, they have managed to put the financial squeeze on them. The negative consequences of their poorly thought out policies were obvious to the average conservative voter with a basic grasp of how the market works but it seems it is the Labour voters who are now finding out the hard way the inherent flaws of Socialism.
