Were the MSM duped?

Example ONE

Research by Sally:

Here are two examples of AirAsia uniforms.

One uniform is for the female pilots and one is for the female flight crew.

According to the MSM there was a written complaint about the uniforms in the above photo from a “disgusted” New Zealander called Dr June Robertson but a number of things about the story do not add up.

Example TWO Last year, AirAsia unveiled a specially designed hijab for Muslim female pilots.

According to the media reports, Dr June Robertson was disgusted by the short skirts on the female flight crew. I wanted to find out more about her as the photo of her letter was posted on Professional IstiqamahI /Facebook. I wondered if she was a Muslim Kiwi given her views on modesty but to my surprise I found nothing.

According to the article, her letter was sent to one of the politicians in Malaysia who wants Sharia-compliant uniforms for women.

The letter signed by June Robertson.

I thought it highly unlikely that a doctor practising in New Zealand would have zero Google footprint. Since I had hit a brick wall, I asked Whaleoil researcher extraordinaire Sally to investigate further. What Sally found made us both wonder whether Dr June Robertson even exists.

Firstly, a full copy of the letter revealed errors that you wouldn’t expect a woman with a medical degree to make.

Secondly, Sally found this comment on Facebook that showed us that we weren’t the only ones having doubts about the authenticity of Dr June Robertson.

Thirdly, Sally found a website that said…

This letter had some mixed reactions from Malaysians as some suspected that the letter might be fake, as there were a number of grammatical and punctuation errors in it. Or maybe her English just isn’t the best?

Fourthly, Sally found a J Robertson with the address shown in the letter in 2007, but the J stood for James Robertson who lived at 15 Ordley Grove back in 2007. That property was last sold in 2001. So it is possible that James Robertson still lives there. Additionally, there is a James Robertson who works at  Capital & Coast Health but who is Clinical Nurse Specialist, not a doctor and definitely not a woman.

Is it possible that someone stole his details including his address and wrote the letter after inventing a Dr June Robertson? I think it is possible that Dr June Robertson doesn’t exist but was a strategy someone employed to give Sharia law political advocates some ammunition to help them make their case.
There is a Linkedin profile for a June Robertson but there is no photo and zero information and her surname is spelt without a capital letter.

However according to Stuff’s reporter…

Robertson acknowledged the letter when contacted by Stuff but refused to comment further.

Interesting that they said Robertson, not June Robertson, don’t you think? Why didn’t “Robertson” want to comment?

I think the MSM has been duped.
