Boeing 707 Barrel Roll- Pilot Tex Johnston

As mentioned  by Tex, a barrel roll is a 1G maneuver so subjects the aircraft to no more stresses than when flying normally the right way up. People often mistake an aileron roll for a barrel roll, when performing an aileron roll you know you are rolling as when upside down, anything loose on the floor will fall onto the canopy. Aileron rolls are generally what fighter aircraft, piston and jet do at airshows and WWII pilots sometimes did with their Spitfires and Hurricanes.
