Try hard Trudeau

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau with his wife, Sophie, and three children in India.

[…] Trudeau, accustomed to being praised for his Prince Charming good looks, is getting a lot of flak on his tour of India, and the latest gags focus on his razzle-dazzle wardrobe, upstaging even India’s flamboyant movie stars.

Offending garments include Trudeau’s long, multi-coloured sherwanis, usually worn on special occasions such as weddings or in Bollywood movies.

Trudeau wore a sparkling gold one to a meeting with Bollywood’s top brass, while the film stars wore muted black suits. Add to that the Canadian first family’s posey, soap-opera style namastes, and it’s enough to keep social media in India buzzing with memes and jokes.

Ahhh young, age-adjacent Politicians these days, watcha gonna do? But then again when you choose your PMs based on their good looks and sex appeal what do you expect? Brains and tact as well are clearly too much to ask.

-Stuff

Is he as the PM of Canada representing his country in India or is he a man enthusiastically playing dress-ups? It was a political trip, not a costume party and it has gone down like a lead balloon with the Indian public who have mocked him.

My new name for him is Try hard Trudeau. So desperate to be seen as accepting of diversity he has turned himself into a colourful clown.

He reminds me of another PM.
