Islam does not belong to Germany

Germany’s new interior minister, Horst Seehofer, in his first interview since being sworn in on 14 March has said that “Islam does not belong to Germany.” He has also vowed to pursue hardline immigration policies, including the implementation of a “master plan” for speedier deportations.

Not before time but definitely too late. Too late for Germany and too late for the hundreds murdered and raped by Islamic migrants welcomed into Germany to boost their dwindling workforce. Merkel’s plan for beefing up the economy seriously blew up in her face when many refused to work, instead demanding housing and financial support while proselytising Islam.

Seehofer also refers to Germany’s strong Christian heritage.

Germany is shaped by Christianity. This tradition includes work-free Sundays and church holidays and rituals such as Easter, Pentecost and Christmas.

This is a valid argument, but isn’t it hypocritical for the growing number of self-confessed German atheists who abandoned their Christian heritage and faith to buy into this argument?

Islam is the new kid on the block being recently established with the post World War II arrival of Turkish, Kurdish, Iranian, Palestinian, and Bosnian migrants to Germany.

As one may expect from a country with 1300 years of Christian tradition, Christianity is still the predominant religion in Germany. Although the number of practicing Christians is on the decline, the Christian religion in Germany is present in the country’s cultural heritage.

Seehofer’s commonsensical remarks opened yet another chapter in the decade-long debate over the phrase, “Islam belongs to Germany.” The words were first uttered in September 2006 — at the time there were 3.5 million Muslims in Germany, compared to more than six million today — by then Interior Minister Wolfgang Schäuble.

Schäuble abandoned Germany’s Christian heritage and it’s practising Christians when he uttered these damning words 11 years ago:

Islam is a part of Germany and a part of Europe. Islam is a part of our present and a part of our future. Muslims are welcome in Germany.

Schäuble had no understanding of the history or nature of Islam which is not tolerant of other religions and refused to merge peacefully into German culture. Instead, it speedily established itself using violent jihad, rape, murder and church desecration. In German refugee homes alone during 2017 there were nearly 100 recorded violent attacks on Christians by Muslim refugees.

Many Christian refugees repeatedly asked for separate accommodation, after there was more and more violence against them from Muslim refugees,” he said. “But the authorities and government did not react.”

Of course, authorities did not react.  Despite evidence to the contrary, they are deluded by the notion that Islam is a religion of peace.

Seehofer is too little and too late because Germany has already fallen to a new master.  Germany now belongs to Islam. What is it with the Germans?
