Rumours of his demise were greatly exaggerated

The more things change the more they stay the same. Many commentators and politicians did a little dance when Whaleoil was hacked and the book ‘Dirty Politics’ was published. Left-wing bloggers and MSM commentators and journalists declared Whaleoil mortally wounded and said that it was only a matter of time before both it and Cameron Slater bled out.

Everyone was agreed that the once-great Killer Whale had been neutralised and Cameron Slater’s name would no longer be heard during debates in parliament as his power and influence were at an end.

But, yesterday, during the parliamentary general debate:

The more things change the more they stay the same. It looks like Whaleoil is still required reading and the go-to blog for government politicians, many years after Rawshark and Nicky Hager attempted to silence both it and Cameron Slater.

They still read us.

They are still talking about us.

I guess the Killer Whale didn’t lose his bite after all.
