Silence of the shams

Sure, thousands of girls have been raped for decades, but, hey, a comedian died. The Beeb has its priorities, you know.

When the awful news of yet another horrifying tsunami of crimes perpetrated against British children by Muslim grooming gangs was broken by the Mirror, Britain’s other major newspapers scrambled to cover the story. As they should: the news that, for decades, possibly thousands of young girls were raped, abused, beaten, and even killed, by a network of paedophiles is a scandal of monumental enormity.

As Ed West wrote on Twitter, “the scale of this across England is simply staggering…almost too horrific to comprehend. I can’t think of anything in modern British history that comes close”.

Yet, the BBC, the world’s largest broadcasting organisation, barely mentioned the story at all. West’s screenshots showed that the story didn’t even make the front page of the BBC, nor was it even mentioned on its England news page, nor, most bizarrely, on its page for Shropshire, the locality where the abuse occurred. Like decades of police and child “protection” authorities, the BBC simply panicked and went to ground.

You might…think ‘Well, there’s a hell of a lot going on in the world at the moment that may take priority’. Like that disturbance at the final of the Crufts dog-show. And that story about an ex-footballer spitting at a woman in her car. What chance does the rape of 1,000 young girls have beside such competition?

…Only after a fair amount of comment about this online did the BBC manage, this afternoon, to squeeze the rape of the area’s kids into their round-up of Shropshire news.

That is because, like the police, social workers and government, the BBC just isn’t interested. Every arm of the state in Britain who should above all else have been looking out for the interests of the nation’s little girls turned – and is still turning – a blind eye to the horrors inflicted on thousands of them.

Britain cares more for phoney “diversity” and protecting perpetrators of the vilest crimes imaginable than it does for its own children. Because the children fall on the wrong side of their precious ideology of “multiculturalism”.

[I]t is now not just abundantly but repeatedly clear that most people in positions of authority in this country never did want stories like Telford, Rochdale or Rotherham to come out…because such stories spoil – perhaps more than any other – the pleasant, transient, but for the time-being dominant narrative which a whole generation of people in authority have come to believe in, or at least preach.

In Australia, the story is the same: the ABC has made no mention of the scandal at all. As I wrote recently, the left-wing media in Australia have likewise cast a cloak of silence on similarly industrial-scale sexual abuse of children in remote Aboriginal communities, at the same time as they salivated obsessively, daily, over an inquiry into the historic abuse of children in institutions such as churches.

Such horror stories as Muslim rape gangs and Aboriginal child abuse simply don’t fit the left’s ideological world-view. They are incapable of viewing people as anything other than identity groups. Christians are the enemy, while groups like Muslims and Aborigines are the noble oppressed. They perch unassailably atop the left’s Victim Totem Pole and can do no wrong.

Leftism historically claimed to represent the oppressed. Today, leftism is obsessed with its “narrative”. Anything and anyone which threatens to disturb that narrative must be silenced. Hence, conservative journalists and speakers are hounded from the country, while radical Imams and openly self-declared wannabe terrorists are given carte blanche.

that is why there is now such a concerted effort online and in the non-online world to shut down, bar, silence, ban, deport and downgrade not the people who cover for these crimes but rather anyone who speaks out about them, highlights them, campaigns against them or does anything else other than join in the general silence. ‘For the good of diversity’.

The leftist fantasy of a multicultural utopia must be maintained at all cost. Like the ancient Canaanites, the left are all too willing to cast their children into the burning maw of Moloch, if thereby they might appease the jealous god of Multiculturalism.

Who is Lushington D. Brady?

Well, a pseudonym. Obviously.

But the name Lushington Dalrymple Brady has been chosen carefully. Not only for the sum of its overall mien of seedy gentility, reminiscent perhaps of a slightly disreputable gentlemen of letters, but also for its parts, each of which borrows from the name of a Vandemonian of more-or-less fame (or notoriety) who represents some admirable quality which will hopefully animate the persona of Lushington D. Brady.
