Another day, another lie from Golly G

Golriz Ghahraman just can’t help herself with her lies.

She falsely claimed that handguns are unregulated in New Zealand. She claimed to have prosecuted war criminals when she was, in fact, defending them. She has also claimed that Interpol is looking into some trolls even though Interpol do no such thing.

On The Nation at the weekend she issued a massive whopper of a lie: that New Zealand doesn’t currently accept immigrants from the Middle East and that we are just like Donald Trump and his ban on people from shitholes. Quote.

“NZ doesn’t currently accept anyone in our quota who is in the Middle East of Africa which is a little bit like Mr Trump’s muslim ban…” End of quote.

I wonder how Ghahraman can explain this then?

NZ, over the last 10 years, had 2,622 quota refugees from the Middle East and Africa arrive in the country, which is 32% of all the quota refugees.

When will media start to challenge this silly little liar?

As much at home writing editorials as being the subject of them, Cam has won awards, including the Canon Media Award for his work on the Len Brown/Bevan Chuang story.  And when he’s not creating the news, he tends to be in it, with protagonists using the courts, media and social media to deliver financial as well as death threats.

They say that news is something that someone, somewhere, wants kept quiet.   Cam Slater doesn’t do quiet, and as a result he is a polarising, controversial but highly effective journalist that takes no prisoners.

He is fearless in his pursuit of a story.

Love him or loathe him.  But you can’t ignore him.
